Audi sales increase 6.7%

Audi sold 640,200 cars until May worldwide, which represents an increase of 6.7% over the same period last year, due to the growth in Asia and the U.S. markets, and despite declines in France, Italy and Spain.

Audi sales in China increased 14.4% to 183,660 units, as well as in India where it grew 24.8% to 4096 vehicles. By May, in the U.S., the German brand sold 60,571 cars, 15.4% higher than in the same months of 2012.

However the brand sales suffered declines in France 9.5% (25,047 units), Italy 10% (20,274 units) and Spain 1.3% (17,622 vehicles).

Audi sold in May, 137,200 vehicles worldwide, up 6.4% from global sales in the same month of 2012.

Audi A1 Admired

Audi unveils new A3 Sedan

The new Audi A3 Sedan is unveiled, the third variant of the range after the Audi A3 coupe and the three-door Sportback model, with trading scheduled for next September.

The new compact sedan from Audi has 4.4 meters long, 1.8 m wide and 1.4 m high. The wheelbase is 2.64 m. The luggage has 425 liters capacity.

The engine range includes units already known: the 1.4 TFSI 140 hp, with Cylinder on Demand System, which deactivates two cylinders when needed; 1.8 TFSI with 180 hp, and 150 hp 2.0 TDI.

A more powerful version, Audi S3, uses the 2.0 TFSI with 300 hp and 380 Nm associated with an automatic dual-clutch seven-speed S tronic gearbox.

Audi sales grow 9.4%

Audi's sales grow by 9.4% in February, to 221,800 units, compared to the same period of 2012, due to the better results obtained in the U.S. and China.

Audi has revealed that its sales increased in the first two months of the year 16% in China (67,946 units), 17% in the U.S. (20,933), while in Western Europe improved only 4% (104,800).

The director of sales, Luca de Meo said that "given the very difficult market situation in Europe and the extraordinary effects in February, the beginning of the year has been synonymous of success for the brand."

Audi has already produced five million systems quattro

 Audi announced today the production of five million units of its all-wheel drive quattro technology launched in 1980. The quattro system marks this milestone was mounted on A6 allroad 3.0 TDI manufactured in Neckarsulm.

"This number demonstrates the pioneering role in Audi AWD systems. No other builder in the world can claim such high sales volume in models with AWD or show a range with more than 140 versions, "says  Audi in a statement.

Audi S3 Sportback

The most "spicy" version of the Audi A3 , the Audi S3 Sportback is scheduled to debut in next edition of the Geneva Motor Show, Audi announced.

Audi increases sales by 16.3%

Audi has just show the new Audi RS7 Sportback ,  sports car equipped with a V8 4.0 liter TFSI engine, with 560 hp and a  torque of 700 Nm

2016 Audi Q8
